한국테니스 동호인 클럽 내의 상징권력과 상징질서의 재생산 : Bourdieu 이론의 상징자본을 중심으로
본 연구에서는 한국 테니스 동호인 클럽 내의 상징권력과 상징질서의 재생산 구조의 특성을 파악하고, 상징자본 을 통하여 어떻게 권력이 유지, 형성, 재생산되는지를 알아봄으로써 클럽 내의 상징권력 재생산 메커니즘을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 송파구, 경기도 하남시에 소재한 테니스 클럽 소속 임원 5명, 일반회원 5명, 총 10명을 연구참 여자로 선정하였다. 이와 같이 수행된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 테니스 동호인 클럽 내의 회원들은 상징권력 인 유교문화, 서열문화, 특수성이라는 사회･문화적 배경을 통해서 지배-피지배의 위계화된 구조로 나타났다. 둘째, 테 니스 동호인 클럽 내의 회원들은 임원, 선임, 구력이라는 위계화로 관행화, 구조화된 공간으로 구축된 상징권력의 지배- 종속의 지위 강화에 의해 작용되고 있었다. 셋째, 장(field)에서는 행위자들이 가진 자본을 통해 그들의 위치를 결정하고 그들 집단만이 가지는 특유의 집단적 특성을 결정짓는다. 통솔을 위한 억압과 통제를 통해 위계제를 구축하고 있다. 이상 에서와 같이 위계제를 오인하도록 상징자본 순환을 통한 재생산으로 새로운 가치투입의 차단과 오인 메커니즘과 정당성 을 부여하여, 오인을 통해 지배-피지배 관계를 안정적으로 하여 상징질서를 재생산하고 있는 것으로 연구되었다.
Reproduction of Symbolic Power and Symbolic Order in Tennis Clubs : Focusing on Bourdieu's Symbolic Capital
This research is to explore the reproduction structure of symbolic power and symbolic order in Tennis clubs, to examine how the power is maintained, formed and reproduced through the symbolic capital and turn, to analyze the reproduction mechanism of sysmbolic power in tennis clubs. For this study, researcher recruited five staff, 5 members in tennis clubs in Songpa-gu, Seoul and Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The result is as follows: first, there is a dominant-subordinate relations formed through a socio-cultural backgrounds such as the Confucian culture, sequence culture and uniqueness in tennis clubs. Second, members in tennis clubs as a structured space have different hierarchical roles such as general member and staff which are caused by their career and play important functions in operating symbolic power and reinforcing a dominant-subordinate relations. Third, the amount of capital which members have decides their role and status and it plays an important role in constructing hierachy by oppression and control.
